How do I do the test?
1. STEP
Schedule for the test
Call us and we will help you get an appointment at any of our partner clinics:
2. STEP
Provide a blood sample
Visit the chosen clinic where you'll get consultations and provide a blood sample.
3. STEP
Get test results
The gynaecologist who performed the test informs you about the results.
Sample analysis
The test requires only a sample of the mother's blood.
It’s a non-invasive test requiring only 10 ml of blood from the mother’s arm. Available from week 10 of pregnancy.
The test analyses cell-free DNA fragments present in mother's blood.
Cell-free DNA (cfDNA) are short fragments of DNA found in the bloodstream. During pregnancy, the mother's blood contains both her and her fetus' cell-free DNA.
Samples are sent daily to our EU based laboratory. You receive the results in 6–10 days.
Our own laboratory in Europe allows us to perform the analysis according to the highest standards, and to maintain full control over quality and procedures (accuracy, security).
We analyse the data and determine the presence of genetic abnormalities.
State-of-the-art genetic sequencing technology and advanced bioinformatics algorithms allow us to analyse cell-free DNA in the mother's blood. We identify potential chromosomal abnormalities of the fetus by counting particular chromosomes. If an abnormality is present, we detect small excesses or deficits in counts of the affected chromosome.
NIPT by GenePlanet test method provides accurate results.
NIPT by GenePlanet technology provides very accurate results for the three most common trisomies present at birth (Down, Edwards, and Patau syndrome) and other chromosomal abnormalities.
